The Constitution was the expression not only of a political faith, but also of political fears. It was wrought both as the organ of the national interest and as the bulwark of certain individual and local rights.
Bio: Thomas March Clark was an American Episcopal bishop. He was born at Newburyport, Mass.; graduated at Yale in 1831; studied theology at Princeton, and was licensed to preach as a Presbyterian in 1835.
