  trigger-fingers  
  people the streets with villains:  
  as you move, the air in front of you  
  blossoms with targets and you leave behind you a heroic  
  trail of desolation:  
  beer bottles  
  slaughtered by the side  
  of the road, bird-  
  skulls bleaching in the sunset.
