Bio: Du Wenxiu was the Chinese Muslim leader of the Panthay Rebellion, an anti-Qing revolt in China during the Qing dynasty. Du had Han Chinese ancestry. Born in Yongchang, Du Wenxiu was the son of a Han Chinese who converted to Islam.
