He loved to talk better than to hear, and to dispute better than to please... people generally left the room with a high opinion of that gentleman's parts and a confirmed resolution to avoid his society.
So far as I know, anything worth hearing is not usually uttered at seven o'clock in the morning; and if it is, it will generally be repeated at a more reasonable hour for a larger and more wakeful audience.
